Eksen Mühendislik Elk. San. ve Dış Tic. A.Ş. was founded on February 22, 2000, at the Perpa Trade Center by Electrical Engineer Şevki Atalay, a graduate of the Electrical Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University (ITU).
From its establishment until the end of 2017, the company continued its operations at its location in the Perpa Trade Center.
In line with the realities of its continuously growing business volume, the company purchased the land of its current workplace located at “Şerifali Neighborhood, Hattat Street No:18, Ümraniye / Istanbul” in 2014, commissioned the construction in the following year, and has been operating in its 5-story building at this address since January 1, 2018.
All Ex-Proof products that we sell and market are ATEX certified. The ATEX certification is a mandatory requirement for Ex-Proof products to be used within European Union countries. It is also an indicator and assurance of product reliability. This certification is issued by internationally recognized and reputable organizations such as CEC, LCIE, PTB, NEMKO, DNV, and EUT.

Ex-Proof, an abbreviation of “Explosion Proof,” refers to ATEX-certified electrical equipment that must be used in explosive and hazardous environments.
ATEX stands for “Atmosphere Explosive” and refers to Directive 2014/34/EU, which regulates equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. This directive was established by the European Union to ensure the safety of workers operating in environments with explosion risks.
The use of non-ATEX-certified products in potentially explosive environments in Türkiye is non-compliant with regulations and such products cannot pass inspections by authorized institutions. Furthermore, in the event of any incidents, official authorities and insurance companies assess the compliance of the equipment used and proceed accordingly.
